Stunning

Absolutely lovely - I think mine is the classiest, and possibly the easiest wearing, watch in my collection.
I love the angled hands (they aren't flat) and also the big date.
Other makes might handle the date differently, but Blancpain's, in combination with the subtly detailed dial is sublime IMHO.

To me, it seems that this watch is very nearly perfect, and love the brushed red gold. I'm interested to hear the forum's general thoughts on it. Thanks! Douglas...

A true eye catcher color combination. Yet, maybe not necessarily for the shy or sombody that prefers understatement. /Very much a fan of the big date at 6 o'clock. /Nice hands /Central seconds /Applied indices Nearly perfect, I could agree. Cheers, koloss...

I stumbled on this watch a decade ago and haven't ever thought of selling it. It is light, very classy, and sporty. The 100-hour power reserve is amazing, and the big date is easier to read than the small date on mine. The deployant clasp is very nice. Fi...

Little dated

I loved this watch years ago... yes the brushed gold is really cool. Blancpain's execution is at a very high level. Size is nice. Love the red-tipped seconds hand! Legibility, excellent. But the large date is kind of like a fad whose time has past... only...

Alas, you put your finger on it

I bought mine used, and the price was "right" with box, papers and all, but I\'ve never felt I could get my money out of it. Resale is indeed soft, and gold was 3x the price. Cazalea

big date looks odd

In general it is a beautiful watch and the craftsmanship is on the par with the top brands. However, I don't like the edition with big date. I much prefer the older version without it. To me the big date looks odd (same on other watches like Lange etc) an...

As seen on Hodinkee's talking watches... at 3:35... In response to Ben Clymer's question "So with watches, who do you think is doing it the right way? Who do you think really pays attention to detail?"

I like this combination

Thanks for the pic The date is fine for me. The brushed red gold with black dial is a real beauty! Cheers Robin
