Gotta admire JLC's attempt to go "back to basics" at a time when watch companies are still focused on even more excessive designs, but at the end of the day we are still talking about a watch that is "classic" primarily in a cosmetic sense.

IMHO A watch with "true values" is not going to use a movement that is clearly too small for its case, as is evident from the placement of the sub dials.

The New JLC Master Chronograph or the Return of true values.

JLC releases, this year 2 very important watches, in my opinion: The Master Memovox, and this Master Chronograph. We'll later see the new Memovox, or should I use the plural, as they are 2. But the Chronograph and the Memovox play the card of some cardina...

JLC chose wrong!

They should have finished the movement to an acceptable level installed a glass case back and increased the price 1500-2000 Euros instead of what they have done now, hidden a nonfinished movement with a silly engraved solid caseback... The watch is beauti...

...while I am at it! Why destroy a perfect dial with an aperture for a date??? Sorry guys, I am having a hard time hiding my disappointment with this, what could have been a very interesting, piece for a costumer that does not have the financial muscle to...

Here, I agree.

As I'm one of those who isn't systematically mad about a date on a dial... Or, if it has to inclue a date, I would have preferred to see it at 3 or 6. But it would " eat " the Chrono Counters, and therefore, it is an impossible thing to do, as for the con...

Actually, Rob...

First of all, thanks for your passionate input, it is always interesting to read your point of view. Of course we love the Dato or the Duomètre, but they are much higher priced. The thing is: What would people say if JLC offered the Master Chrono at 10 K ...

That is life...

... you cannot always have it your way, can you? Anyway, the SIHH has introduced a lot of interesting pieces for all tastes and it isnt difficult finding a favorite piece. Thank you, Nicolas, for your very beautiful pictures and extensive coverage on all ...

Quite nice...

It inspires none of the passion that the new Duometre or the Flying tourbillon do, but it is a nice, elegant chronograph, feeding into an almost empty market. I can't think of any other automatic chronographs in that market space except the Chopard Chrono...

I reverse the question, Aaron.

Wasn't the choice of a case back on the Master Chrono Mecaquartz a mistake? Best, Nicolas

not at all!

I think it's kinda cool. It says "yes, we make excellent movements, even quartz ones!" A

The boutique edition looks great.

Love the combination for this one. About the date window, yes , definitely it's not in the "right" place. A real pity! Thanks for sharing. Vte : )

Hey, Vicente!

You have to see it in the flesh, but maybe you already did, when you were at the SIHH. I'm ont one of thise who are crazy about Dates, on the Chrono, and on this one I also would have preferred without. BUT, on another side, I'm not that disturbed by it. ...

It sure seems that way

especially if you compare that to the re-edition of the Pam Mare Nostrum LOL.

You have a wide choice in large sizes: 44, 47, 52 and even 60 mms... :)))

40mm is a nice size for a Chrono, don't you think? Best, Nicolas

Looks great especially the RG for me

It would be near perfect for me if it had a sapphire case back. Can this be requested for?

I fear not, Arthur.

But who knows...Maybe in the Future? Best, Nicolas
