Which Panerai would you get - a PAM375 or a PAM386?

Sep 14, 2011,19:48 PM

Both models are brown composite but the PAM375 is larger at 47mm and houses the new P.3000 movement while the PAM386 is smaller at 44mm and houses the P.9000 movement.

Which one would you get and why?

Cheers,
Anthony

Ciao Anths, Naturally since its the one that fits my criteria for a Pam! And boy does it look dang gorgeous in your video! Can't wait for mine to arrive! Tschuss Stephen

372... Aaah, this wasn't the question? :) Certainly no composite case for me.

I have zero confidence in this new material, and I find it definitiely too trendy. Best, Nicolas.

372 indeed...hahaha

focus...focus... You know only too well, what I think about the 339. One thing I have not mentioned (maybe) so far, I like owning one. Forget the wearing part (in fact I wear it very....VERY seldom) but, as a micro-collector, not having a MM-8giorni-breve...

Brevettato, si, ma no in Italia. ;)

You know the problem Panerai faced about the MM name on the 339 dial. That + the composite issues... All these details are too much for me. All the best, from the " Triestin " back to Paris. Nicolas.

I with Sergio here..

for me who missed out on the MM-8giorni in the 203/217/36, the 309 is the only and decently priced option..Case issues withstanding... In this case, i would go with 375 as its a fantastic value compared to the 386..

Too trendy

is the reason... it got no roots in panerais history... from a personal point of view if im to purchase panerai i would do it for the essence of the brand ... want something trendy... i would look somewhere elss. Best. Faisal

Hi Anthony....

easiest reply ever, for me. I own a 127 and a 339. The 375 (booked long ago) will sit pretty in my watchbox between the other two... Cheers - Sergio

which one fits your wrist the best ??

 By: P@trick@Belgium : September 15th, 2011-04:41
not sure if a 44 or 47mm fits your wrist better ?? i have a few 47mm myself but 44mm is the better size if i'm honnest to myself ..... and then there's still the serious price difference between the two and the fact that one is LE and the other not ! for ...

no composite, I would look for a ceramic

having seen both I prefer ceramic Years ago there was a ceramic Luminor and that looked damn good. (I think it was polished)

375 for me too

I think it all comes down to what size you prefer.... for me, i love the 47mm case and i find the proportions are better with the 47m. But that is also because i find the 44mm too small for me now days... just don't feel good wearing a 44mm anymore...

I'd go for 375, because of the date window on the 386... [nt]

375.....classic

375 for me!

 By: Subco : September 16th, 2011-09:50
Sure the 375 for me! The simplicity of the dial (without the date window) and the 47 mm are looking better on this watch IMHO. And what a pleasure to feel wearing a brown fiddy! I just can't wait anymore for mine!!!! Any informations on the release date? ...

375 is Gorgeous

375 or 386?

 By: oakcrestland : September 17th, 2011-13:31
375 gets my vote because I like the way it looks. Must add a 372 as well because of it's simplicity and tradition. Thanks Panerai!

I'd normally pick a 47mm Luminor but...

I think the 386 fits composite case much better 375, IMHO is a bit of mixing modern and historic design Doesn't work out for me Best, Sam

375 for me
