SIHH2016: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver Chronograph

Jan 18, 2016,07:15 AM

At SIHH2016, Audemars Piguet has released a new Royal Oak Offshore Diver Chronograph collection. The watch will be released in 4 different dial colors and be an Audemars Piguet Boutique exclusive.  I'm a big fan of the 2 subdial layout at 3 and 9, and AP got it right by omitting a date feature.  Very well designed dials.

The blue is the most subdued:

All models feature black ceramic pushers and crowns:

. . . and I'm anxious to see live photos. If the price point is right, I could see these pieces doing quite well for AP. Speaking of price, anything in the official release regarding msrp? Thanks, M4

Yes Sir M4...

$27,900 USD. I believe the series will include 150 pieces for blue, yellow, and orange dials, and only 50 pieces in lime green. The green will be a AP Geneva Boutique exclusive.

Thanks Michael! [nt]

The green and yellow are outstanding.

I can't wait to see these in the metal. Although, the green will be a tough one to see I bet with it being a boutique exclusive.

Great....boutique limited edition means "no discounts"...actually makes life easier.

I prefer prices are fixed so we don't have to shop around. Too many choices....again not enough wallets. Rgds Raymond

I think they should expand the color choices even further....

I think this piece would look outstanding in hot pink. From a Charity perspective, perhaps as a Limited Run in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Awareness Society? Every year in The States, for example, about 40,000 people die of breast cancer. Of these,...

I'm pretty sure AP will expand the color choices in the future

Remember, this is just the 1st year for this watch. I'd expect more colors each year IMO. Cheers, Anthony

Good looking merging two popular models

Looks fantastic, two watches in one, boutique exclusive, the blue is more richer in details than the other three. Should I sell off my 2015 Diver and 2014 Navy to get one? Honestly, I much prefer watches with date, and chronograph with 12 hours register i...

fantastic..not my style but a friend of mine loves the orange! I think there is ...

a mistake in the official documentation: the case can't be just just 7.16mm thick or... ?

That would be wishful thinking [nt]

I love the deep blue...

I would love to see that color with newer 42mm ROOs without any funky colors like orange. Just white or silver accents. I like the new models, but I'd like to see more subtle colors in the collection, and i personally perfer a date. When it comes to a com...

The blue is OK...

but no date is a minus. The other three colors are hideous. AP trying to imitate Swatch.

blue and yellow versions are captivating

I like both the blue and the yellow versions, and the symmetrical layout of the 2 chrono subdials. I think I'll be seriously looking at the blue for myself and the yellow for someone I know that is a huge fan of yellow dialed AP watches Regards, ED-209

Love the blue dialed AP Offshore Diver Chronograph!

This new Offshore Diver Chrono should be a big hit IMO. And I really like the super clean and well proportioned dial. Cheers, Anthony
