I am a huge Zenith fan - especially the great neo-vintage stuff from before the Nataf era (what a disaster that was). BUT.....I owned one of the el Primero rattrapantes (as pictured here) and it was a nightmare. Lots of technical issues having to do with ... 

The last iteration of the split second was a touch too large and the big date is probably not required on a pure timing machine, perhaps no date at all.
