In fact, for me it was the best movie I have watched in a theater in some time. But that scene on the steps, perfect!

Zenith experts: any news about this A384 homage . . .

. . . now listed (without details) on their website? Art ...

Apparently, it's been on their site for a while. Recent info gleaned from the 'net . . .

. . . reveals it's now in regular production, at least for the foreseeable future. Not to mention an optional bracelet, still unseen as of this moment. And, it's 37 mm. I owned a New Vintage 1969 for a few years. Loved the watch, the design, the movement,...

Ditto. Both . . .

. . . Joker and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood are bang-up films. And Joaquin Phoenix has gotta be on his way to an Academy Award.

Once upon a Time...

That would be a close 2nd as far as new movies I have caught that I really enjoyed. That was a solid show and I rather enjoyed the ending twist. Thanks Art, no intentions of threadjacking here. This Omega really is a nice offering.

Art, here's some info with live images...

Thanks, V. These pics confirm my impression . . .

. . . that the legibility issues the 40th anniversary homage had are now resolved in the 50th. And even truer to the original models. Impressed, Art

Steel bracelet images were captured . . .

. . . by Monochrome. Note the center link gaps. [photo credit: Monochrome] A contest between this EP and the upcoming Speedmaster for my affections would make Godzilla vs Mothra . . . . . . seem like a cakewalk. ...

Finding a mint vintage A384 would be way cool . . .

 By: Dr No : October 27th, 2019-21:33
. . . but entirely unlikely. And even if you did, the price wouldn't be much less than what Zenith's charging for the Revival. And, quite possibly, more. Art

Hmmmm; I am after this one....

...

Vintage has its own charms, Nicolas, no doubt . . .

 By: Dr No : October 27th, 2019-23:25
. . . but when a modern version is as closely rendered as this one, and potentially less costly, I would give it equal consideration. Best, Art

Potentially... ;) [nt]

I just ordered one with the bracelet... simply wonderful execution.

Congratulations! It was at the top of the shortlist . . .

. . . for a new addition, but edged out by the announcement of Dornblüth's 99.1 M. As I've already owned a new Zenith, my decision in favor of the Dorn was practically a foregone conclusion. But I hope these EP homages are still available when the next fa...

Good news,as this model is available.... But demand is high, so if you want one, stay on the case. Saw it several times in the flesh, JUST gorgeous, in every detail. Price is 7.6 k $ and €.on strap Gay frères-style bracelet wil come later this year or nex...

At that asking price, it makes sense to pursue . . .

. . . over vintage. One additional reason to go modern: servicing vintage can be problematic, at least here in the States. My watchmaker recently told me of a customer's EP he had to turn down as his parts supplier told him Zenith had cut them off, just a...

Someone told me,

Servicing the EP isn't as easy as some might to pas by Zenith. And, a little bird told me, they are working on their vintag3 dept. Grtz,Dom

I don't know if they started to deliver them yet

But we were given a sneak peak of it in Basel this year. I was super impressed with it and is on my wish list now that the vintage piece seems to have rocketed. Cheers Andrew ...

Yes,that's the one

The 40th anniversary I owned for a while had legibility issues, Massi . . .

 By: Dr No : October 28th, 2019-14:55
. . . between 2 and 7, especially under low light conditions. This 50th anniversary model isn't quite as aesthetically appealing to my senses, but more legible. Overall it's a wash, but the smaller (and truer) case size plus authentic bracelet gives the R...

Zenith A384

 By: Pelican1960 : January 2nd, 2020-22:30
I saw and handled the A384 at Watchtime in New York in October. Zenith had the bracelet version and it seemed to be quite popular with attendees. If I were interested in another chronograph (bought a new Speedy last September), this version would be what ...

I'm done for the year . . .

 By: Dr No : January 3rd, 2020-10:25
. . . with an incoming Dornblüth, but chances are at least fair this particular Zenith will be on next year's list. If a reverse panda edition becomes available in the meantime, so much the better ;-) . . .
