I saw a nice Cairelli on the net, soon to be auctioned by Antiquorum, by the way. As you can see, it is in mint condition. But that raises a question: The watch is supposed to be issued to the Italian Army, and to have a military number engraved below " A...
Now that made me laugh out loud!!! :)
Unless it was bashing it on an espresso cup or when cleaning sunglasses... it should be pristine.

Considering it's from Antiquorum, one of the worse auction houses....
I'd be very dubious. Antiquorum has been known for the past several years as one of the most dubious watch auction houses. I know of someone who bought a watch from Antiquorum who advertised it as a Lange but then it turned out it was a Laco! This auction...
