I'd had the same thought at the time, and have been keeping my fingers crossed for a while that Zenith would do that, bring a modern 135 tribute in steel, accessibly priced. Can't wait to see!
Does that mean they'll have a permanent place for a Cal. 135 based model? Undoubtedly beautiful watch but I'd like to see more of a Grand Seiko 9SA4 adjacent line of strong daily wearer time only manuals, accessible quality.
O suppose more affordable, nice decoration, original adjustment etc… When doing a kind of re-issue, do it properly. So I hope they did the right thing in the end… Dirk
