. . . over vintage.
One additional reason to go modern: servicing vintage can be problematic, at least here in the States. My watchmaker recently told me of a customer's EP he had to turn down as his parts supplier told him Zenith had cut them off, just as Omega stopped selling to third party suppliers a few years ago.
