Zenith

I just acquired this, and have only seen one other of this reference (03.0520.400). I really dig the dial - busy, but also very striking. It looks black, but actually (hard to capture) is kind of a dark chocolate brown. And of course the el Primero - runn...  

In this instance it really doesn't bother me much. The dial is complex, the date ring is black, and thus it doesn't stand out as much as others might. But I do hear you.

I had the same exact piece. Congrats. I also looks good on a dark alligator withe orange stitches.

43mm is exact, and i see the lugs made for me. Yes, the date. No problem for me, but i understand it’s not everyones choice. And i do not even set dates correct on my watches, cause it is for me for the show. Enjoy your rare and unique Zenith.

43mm you say? That's a proper man-sized watch for something that is so delicate in aspect. I don't mind the date window at all so long as the date disk is tone-on-tone as you (and others?) have remarked. It is however the absolute ruin of watches where th...  

Interesting. These are very similar, but mine has a larger case and the overall style of the dial and hands, is quite different. But both just great. Yours is very elegant, whereas mine is a bit sportier. Same attention to detail though, and the movement ... 

But this is a rare case of aesthetics outweighing practicality. I absolutely love this piece! Congratulations!
