Yours truly has no sense of style . . .

. . . in the classical meaning of the term.
Been a t-shirt 'n Lees kinda guy ever since I can remember. When I retired years ago, my suits were retired to the rubbish bin.
So while I don't have a style icon in the classical sense of the term, there is one whose influence on my collection reverberates to this day: Steve G.
While my collection is narrower in scope, his sense of horological appreciation was - and still is - appealing.
Here are several of his images I've been given prior authorization to share, starting with his unique Longines 30CH.
And this first image of his Omega DDR . . .
[six images above all credited to Steve G with previously granted permission]
. . . was my computer's desktop photo for over a decade until just a few days ago. It was replaced, remarkably, by an image of a genuine style icon.
So I owe a debt of gratitude to Steve G for sharing images and musings of his self-curated collection online when I was starting out. His site, Steve G's Launchpad, has been inactive for over a decade, but he's alive and well for those who've wondered about him.
The overlaps, current or not, between his collection and mine include an RGM 222 . . .
. . . an Omega Centenary ref 2499 . . .
. . . and half a dozen Omega rg chronometers, of which this ref 2364 . . .
. . . is perhaps the prime example.

PS - one more that I share with Steve: his Omega 1894 . . .
