The shoes…ahhhhh….it was based on the model Eliud Kipchoge wore to attempt the 2h marathon record. It is the “F1” of running shoes, almost like mechanical doping. It has a sneaky secret tucked in the sole, a carbon plate which serves as a spring. 

The shoe is so efficient, it’s only purpose is to spring forward. It is easy to sprain the ankle when wearing it, because lateral stability is not very assuring on this shoe. 

=D this is the sneaker nerd in me. I like technology in shoes.  

The other shoe part of me, is handmade luxury leather shoes. I learnt this from being in the shadow of a hedge fund manager for too long, that his love affair for fine leather shoes rubbed off onto my impressionable mind forever. (i still cannot afford his porsche 911 turbo). If you met this old gentleman, you’d say wow. 70 years old with the physique of a 35 year old. Changes shoes 3 times a day at least, one for each purpose. Driving shoes for driving, sneakers for the gym, and fine leather shoes for fine dining. He always had a few spare shoes neatly arranged under his desk.
