But here’s the verdict on WotW.

Third place for me goes to Mike’s GO Senator Chronometer.

Second to Brauner’s De Bethune:

And finally the WotW is Mike H’s grandfather’s pocket watch, which I found simply sublime 👌🏻

Thanks to everyone for a fantastic week!

 By: ChristianDK : September 15th, 2019-09:03
Thank you all for taking part in this challenge. I have really enjoyed it over the weekend and I think we have seen some amazing and unusual watches. I also would like to say a big “Thank You” to Cpt Scarlet for inviting me to be your Guest Host this week...

I really fell for this little watch as well. Perhaps it even makes sense that it lives as a Safe Queen with the occasional wearing. A big congratulations to Tim 👍😊

Thanks Abel! [nt]

Ha, now that’s a reminder of a bit of a funny story...

 By: Tim Jackson : September 17th, 2019-05:37
Thanks Mike! That was an extremely good day when I realized I’d given it to you to help look for a strap. The prospect of losing grandpa’s old watch was not a good feeling. Cheers, Tim

Mahesh, you do me a great honour!

 By: Tim Jackson : September 17th, 2019-05:29
When I received this watch several years ago, I did a little research on the English 9K Gold hallmarks to determine when it was made. I never saw my grandfather wear this watch, and was curious as to the story of it. Alas, the story of its original acquis...

our pleasure as Purists Tim...

I've a safe queen story to add to this week's proceedings . . .

 By: Dr No : September 15th, 2019-09:29
. . . from a thread long, long ago. Those who've been here for more than a few years will fondly remember Andrew Daley, who moderated the HoMe forum. He made a comment about 'wanting to take a torch' to Blomman's safe during a WS thread. "That's odd," tho...
