WRISTSHOT RESULTS!!

Nov 24, 2019,09:17 AM

I had a fantastic Turkish Bath this morning and took the time to contemplate, digest and cogitate this week's Wrist Shot of the Week! First, some Honorable Mentions: It really warms this Old Judge's heart to see vintage Rolexes out and about and being enjoyed. So Kudos to Batholith and SubExplorer!

PODIUM - THIRD PLACE

Third place this week goes to our beloved Nico. This is a great shot. It makes me want to own this Jaeger Repeater and visit this exact location. Very nice composition, congrats!

SECOND PLACE

Goes to our Dear Captain. Wow, just love this shot! The vintage Breitling and the clouds go together perfectly. Just gorgeous all around (wish I could take shots this good!)

DRUM ROLL....... JOINT WINNERS OF WRISTSHOT OF THE WEEK!!

The Great Ralph Waldo Emerson said "Life is a journey, not a destination" and what better way to represent our collective watch journeys than to celebrate the two ends of that journey, the Alpha & the Omega. The Alpha goes to Tim Jackson and the fantastic Silberstein that started it all for him. The Omega goes to MTR and the sublime IWC Repeater he pined so many years for. I think the emotional connection these owners have to these two pieces represent the very best of our watch collecting journey and so, in my books, they are worthy winners! Congrats gentlemen!

The fellow I got it from had previously sent it to VC for service at vast expense. It has the correct original buckle too, which is a big bonus in my world! Cheers, Tim
