But, I see this clearly as a tool watch because it has a prominent tachymeter scale and is designed for measuring the speed of moving objects, most likely race cars. It is also waterproof to 10 ATM which adds to the “tool” character. Audemars Piguet Royal...

yes, first owner - only three of the 100 pieces with letter opener found its way to Europe (UK, Northern and Western). I received the Western edition as I am known to the European Casio HQ as an avid collector of Casios ;-)

Well two different answers - for looks probably the Seiko, but in terms of it getting a bit battered then the gshock as much less concerned about scratching/dinging it - but in end every watch gets the patina of your ownership over them anyway. Cheers JML...

I have held it for further review as to whether I will keep it-vintage style, 300m water resistance, Bakelite style bezel, fixed lugs, issued to special forces ( the original was this is a reissue) and the original replaced the milsub for the British SBS…...

I would love to know more about that SBS squad member and his Planet Ocean! With his permission of course! The only military relation of this watch I knew, is James Bond character ☺️, the 45mm in Casino Royale, and the 42mm in Quantum, but I feel no surpr... 

Unfortunately as he is still a serving officer I can’t at this time. Possibly we can talk at some later point. I can say that many of his colleagues also own this watch or other Omega versions.
