How tough was Wrist Shot this weekend? . . .
Jan 16, 2022,20:38 PM
. . . tough enough to deserve a Dangerfield . . .
. . . punchline.
"Man, I grew up in a tough neighborhood. How tough? Our library had a sign."
(Yes, I heard Rodney deliver that line at UCLA 40+ years ago. I doubled over laughing my head off.)
So many excellent shots it's practically impossible to choose. Let's start with Cap's Tudor.
Pretty chill, huh? Blue as the sea, far as the eye can see. Then blau posts his identical Tudor . . .
. . . posed in utter relaxation. And finally, Rogi one-ups 'em all by posting his bitchin' Omega . . .
. . . in PJ's. We are a seriously relaxed bunch here, for sure!
Outstanding wrist shots from a compositional perspective in abundance: Geo . . .
. . . hs111 . . .
. . . Hans J . . .
. . . jml . . .
. . . and Yacomino . . .
. . . all posted compelling compositions. Dad was a Sudoko enthusiast, which made jml's contribution especially meaningful.
Then there were technical standouts starting with Geo's shot already shared above, KMII's Ming . . .
. . . and JLC . . .
. . . as well as Vallura's Tudor . . .
. . . and Omega.
But . . . this week, there were two extraordinarily compelling wrist shots. Enjoythemusic's Nixie has got to be the second coolest watch in the universe . . .
. . . (after David Berning's tube-regulated hummer, of course!) so this submission is tops in my book.
It would be good for first on its own had it not been for SF's 'hiding in plain sight' masterpiece.
It's a tough call for the blue ribbon between these two. I've gotta go with Enjoythemusic's รผberkuhl Nixie just because it vividly reminds of Berning's brilliant one-of-a-kind wonder.
I'd never wear a quartz, but this is just too cool for school!
Hope you're all having a chill Sunday, and see you next weekend when yours truly will be moderating the session.
