WristScan for weekend of Sept 19th & @20th is open; "Romans or Arabics"

Sep 20, 2019,09:49 AM

Please submit your offerings to be judged fairly and judiciously ;-)  well I actually submit with bias, but then we are NOT in a court of law!

Romans:

Arabics:

I'm excited to see what is shown this week, as a lover of Romans, my heart usually points me in that direction, but I do have a couple in the collection that are rather tasty.

Let's see your tasty treats, and remember two offerings only if possible. I know some of you will find this tricky, however I and the judges will appreciate it ;-)

Cheers,
Tim

The HM in plat just squeaks by as the winner of these two for me. But both are genius! Cheers

Only thing nicer than the platinum would be the rose gold HM.

Lots of tough competition including several independents like The debethune and your NHC. Besides - the judge and I are always on opposite sides of the table so sure heโ€™ll have preference for someone else

Iโ€™m a lover of all things horological...

 By: Tim Jackson : September 21st, 2019-08:17
The LF Iโ€™ve loved since setting eyes and handling one in Basel many moons ago! Your PW with the Guilloche Dial is superb, plus a family piece to boot. Well the WG VH Classic with the RG Dial is the natural sibling to mine! Perhaps one day Iโ€™ll come across...

Well the 2 VH are not mine...

 By: Mike H : September 21st, 2019-08:21
I shot them at Vianneyโ€™s workshop when I was there this summer ๐Ÿ˜‰ Cool watches actually...

A duel time watch with 7 days power reserve. Interestingly, this watch uses the golden moon as the PR indicator, showing the minimum and maximum. All functions are adjusted through the crown in 3 positions.

Brilliant, thank you for the details!

 By: Tim Jackson : September 21st, 2019-22:58
Much appreciated. From what time period where these made? solid or open back? Cheers, Tim

Circa 2003

 By: Hamster07 : September 22nd, 2019-01:23
The watch has a 42mm case with an in-house hand-wound mechanical movement. The case back is solid and individually numbered. Not sure about the total amount of production though.

Good to know. Thank you! [nt]
