Watch Of The Week...
Mar 22, 2020,11:37 AM
For this weekend, I would like congratulate and thank each and everyone in our community that posted on WristScan for our Big GTG. You are all winners !
But ... tradition dictates that I have to make an official decision so here goes ...
several of you posted Vianney Halter watches and it became impossible to choose between these beautiful watches so this week you all receive honourable mentions.
Mo (Riddler) showed us his Urwerk, it looked great and it was a pleasure to see someone enjoying it so much, so I just had to mention it.
Nicolas arrived with an incredible selection of watches, so much so that I could spend hours discussing the merits of each piece but I’m sure that we all felt the same.
Watchonthewrist keeps surprising us with several great choices, thanks for sharing them with us.
Aperna, Tony, is fast becoming the “King of Lange” with a great collection to show us this weekend.
NT913 arrived with a Zenith A271 on a Stingray strap that looked incredible and then a classic Patek on a similar strap that looked equally delicious.
KMII dropped by with that elegant Vacheron on.. wow !
Cazalea pulled up in a rather nice Lotus that caught my eye, but on his one wrist was that Vianney Halter, beautiful... but on the other wrist was his Seiko “ J Leno”....
I haven’t meet anyone with one before, great watch.
Rascal had a Patek on with batons that sparkled in the sunlight, contrasting against the deep blue dial.. fabulous.
Art (Dr No) always has a great vintage Omega with him that for me defines vintage heaven.
Finally, as our GTG was drawing to a close our dear friend Abel (Subexplorer) arrived with a new find, what a surprise...
a Military Tudor Submariner. The patina and history of this piece is something that I simply couldn’t resist, Congratulations Abel, you are the winner of WOTW !
Kind regards
The Captain
