To start conquering the world ;-) looking at my Universal Geneve Shadow. Super slender, less than 2 one Euro coins with an UG 66-2 beating inside and flat blue alligator. No seconds hand, beautiful "bat" shaped case. That micro rotor was the thinnest auto...

The pocket watch was made by Moritz Grossmann himself as a piece unique in 1872!! The wrist watch was made to celebrate this pocket watch. And quite amazingly the size of both watches are almost identical!! The engraving on the case is quite something The...  

And the presentation is immaculate.

One of the rare things about this pocket watch is that it only measures 36.7mm and has no personal engravings which I prefer. It was common to have one's coat of arms or initials engraved to a pocket watch in the 19th and 20th centuries. ...  

And the movement is not too bad either! ...

MG make some gorgeous pieces-the best with the enamel dials. Yours is perfect for your taste. Better watch out pun intended you may start to fall for the Germans!

because after securing this watch set, I have to confess that my interest in watches is waning as if I have secured the ultimate (for me at least). I have a Cartier Crash arriving at the year end, a RW Smith in two years time and my Patek skeleton in 2028... 

How many do we really want? (Need is not part of the equation!)

the answer might be lots!! But for me, as I wind my manual winding watches daily and have a minimal amount of space, I think 5 or 6 manual winding watches would be enough!

Elegant watches...could be very much a subjective view. I think simplicity is one, but for real elegance, I adore thin straight lugs on a (not too large) round case. Like with this couple of elegant vintage GPs. And yup, very elegant on the wrist Best, CC...

Personally I am smitten by the Laurent Ferrier pieces, especially the Square. Such elegance and such class. Plus the movement is beautiful and I love that very few others have that same watch. Amazing selection!
