SteveG cost me a lot of time perusing his photo site, and a lot of money chasing watches he had found BEFORE they became popular. I fell in love with this GS SBGW003 and hunted for 2 years. One finally popped up in Singapore and a young fella on this site (known to many now, as SJX) helped me obtain it. It went straight to Japan for a service then over the Pacific to me, where it remains in my collection.
Five years later I had the opportunity to visit the GS factories in Japan, wearing this watch. I showed it to the lead watch master and he said (exactly like Lt. Tragg in the old Perry Mason series) "Yes, this is it, I recognize my mark" He had serviced the watch when I sent it back in 2009.
Look at the delicate touch he exhibits in holding the watch.

Second Surprise Score, purchased on the spot when a friend / dealer mentioned it was available.
Little did I suspect that would result in various opportunities to meet the man himself.
