Wrist Scan for Friday, January 15th is Open Now! Theme: "Keeping the Passion Alive!"

Jan 14, 2021,18:14 PM

Hello dear friends! A bit earlier than usual this Friday for a reason I will explain later, as your Host I declare our WS edition Open with the Theme: "Keeping the Passion (for watches) Alive!". A theme I announced and explained in my previous Wednesday post.

In spite of the enduring hardship imposed by pandemia and lockdown most of us have managed to keep alive the flame of our passion for watches. I feel it was a good way of giving some rest to our minds and to escape at least for a few enjoyable moments from the troubled and complicated reality we lived along the past 2020.

Some of us devoted our attention to the watches in our collections and even had the chance of catching some new piece for our delight. Reading books and internet portals related with horology or participating in our Forum were other wonderful options of course.

So the challenge this week end is answering: How did you keep your passion for watches alive during 2020?

Did you catch any new watch during 2020?

Did you catch any new watch in the few first days of this New Year 2021?

If no new watches were caught: which was the watch/watches more often worn during pandemia?

I look forward to your answers and photographs which you may begin to post in this same thread on Friday morning and till Sunday at around 4 PM UTC when I will be calling the judges veredicts.

As usual you may post your shots for all of any of the categories:

Best Wrist Shot

Best Static Shot

And... Best Watch of the week to be judged by your host (me!)

Now, let me to explain why I am opening the thread so early in this opportunity:

Today Friday morning I need to visit our local Omega Boutique to take delivery of my first catch of this year 2021 which is waiting for me since last week. I couldn´t make the trip downtown before so you can imagine my anxiety accumulated since I received the phone call announcing that my new Ed White/321 Speedy had arrived.

I expect to be back home to continue my hosting at around 1 PM local time (4 PM UTC) and answer the first participants entries as soon as possible and I apologize for the delays.

I keep looking forward to many awesome entries from our Community.
Have a nice and enjoyable week end my dear friends!

Cheers! Abel
