Wrist Scan for Friday 16th is Open Now! : Time for Chronographs!!
Oct 15, 2020,20:32 PM
Hello dear Friends!
As announced last Wednesday I have the pleasure to be your host this week end and our Theme invites to share your favorite chronographs.
Since my beginnings as a watch collector I felt fascinated by chronographs. I found and still find viewing their dials with different scales and sub dials and their several hands working mesmerizing.
Chronographs were original intended as a working tool in many areas: engineering, military, medical, sports, etc.. and they are currently replaced by other more modern or technological instruments but for present days watch aficionados it keeps being a wonderful complication which allows interacting or playing with them and bring a lot of enjoyment.
In my personal case I only use them to control the exact 3 minutes and a half I prefer for boiled eggs but anyway I canโt resist starting and resetting their hands and viewing their workings whenever I wear a chrono on my wrist.
So, please share your favorite chronographs and tell us a few words about them. Show us their movements if it is possible, as movements are also pieces of art which give us so much joy and satisfaction.
Of course if you donยดt own a chronograph in your collection you are invited to participate with the watch youยดll be wearing along the week end.
As usual we will have three categories to be judged: Best Wrist Shot, Best Static shot and Best watch of the week (to be chosen among watches submitted along the week end).
You may begin posting in this same thread now!
Have a beautiful and safe weekend my dear watch loving friends!!
Cheers! Abel
PS : I share below some favorite chronos from my collection to open Time for Chronographs!!
