Watch of the Week Verdict!

Mar 03, 2019,06:19 AM

Many thanks to everyone participating in this week's WristScan. A lot of competitive entries.

Without further ado, let's move to the verdict.

A honerable mention goes to Zabreg for his Patek Philippe 5056P. I really love the story behind your entry! Thanks a lot. In my case it evolved differently, both wedding watch and wife are gone for good. smile

3rd place goes to Abel for his Rolex Red Submariner. What a great patina and so consistent on hour markers and hands. Absolutely stunning.

2nd place goes to Nicolas and his Tornek-Rayville. A real eye-catcher on this Nato-strap, and beautifully shot in a beautiful location. BTW, reminded me a bit of Porto Banus. Will be back soon.

And the winners are (yes, we have two winners), Joe and Mike for their Patek Philippe 3448s (aka the Wonder Watch). This was a no-brainer for me because I love this watch so much. IMO, this is one of the best Patek Philippe watches ever made in terms of esthetics. It is minimalistic yet romantic (and look at that moon-phase). On top of that, as first automatic PC, it has a great historic significance for Patek Philippe as well.

Huge congratulations to all the winners.

HAGWE everyone.

Best, V.

Thanks also from my side for everyone posting. So it's my first job as a judge here, so please...bear with me. Here my assessments- 3rd place- I know that this forum has an emphasize on high-end brands and watches. However, for me, brands that are not so ...

Merci Nico ;-) [nt]

Lucky watch... Let me wax a bit poetical here... Most of the comments I have read on this week's WS have really focused on the fact that most of us believe no one physical object brings luck. It is the people themselves who either create their own or make...

One of best verdicts ever!!!

most of all I can underline everything you said. In fact, I'm going to print that out and put it above my desk. Cool shot, Mr. B, you nailed the theme!

Agree with you 100% my friend .
