 By: Cookies : September 2nd, 2022-09:24
You are cordially invited to the event this week. To RSVP, please reply with a limited edition item and the watch you will wear this weekend. Come share your pictures of limited edition things, juxtaposed with your watches. It is now open. Bowling balls, ...

It seems attractive!

Come have fun

 By: Cookies : September 2nd, 2022-11:17
I’m still thinking what photo I will take for this week. Wow, Boris and Captain Scarlet’s LE items are so cool. A Marine Nationale bag, and Aviator items. Oooo

OK, I'll play. I'll be wearing this for most of the weekend:

 By: Boris : September 2nd, 2022-10:19
Being a M.N. 22, I guess it qualifies as a limited edition, but in case not, I have also included its ancestor stamped M.N.80, which was definitely a limited edition. The other stuff, I got from the Marine Nationale online shop: the knife is the actual se...

Wow!

 By: Cookies : September 2nd, 2022-11:02
That is a spectacular entry Boris. The M.N 22 edition juxtaposed with the cool bag and knife, and the “ancestor” M.N 80. Love it so much.

Love the MN theme!

 By: Cookies : September 2nd, 2022-11:04
I laid my eyes on your sheepskin jacket, and Dunhill Cufflinks (made with the special recycled/upcycled metal) and Stowa watch. My eyes won’t move from the picture. Oooo la la!

Thank you dear friend 🙏 …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : September 2nd, 2022-13:08
I’m pleased that you like them, I love a little vintage upcycling 😉

Great shot and Limited pieces dear Captain!

Perfect for the aviation and military enthusiasts

Thank you dear Count …,

Something a little different can be good fun in a collection.

Uncle Bernard would've been pleased . . .

 By: Dr No : September 4th, 2022-13:06
. . . to make your acquaintance, Cap. Serving in the RAF was a point of immense pride for him, to say the least. Art

I don’t believe he flew a plane

 By: Cookies : September 4th, 2022-13:26
Or did he….he recently posted a pic of him flying a plane wearing a rectangular independant watch. Is it true he can fly a plane? The mystery deepens…heeheehee

My Uncle Bernard was a navigator on a Lancaster bomber . . .

 By: Dr No : September 4th, 2022-19:22
. . . towards the end of the war, Cookies. He was stationed in North Africa and never flew a combat mission, if memory serves correct. He was a dear friend of our family; I referred to him as 'Uncle' out of a combination of fondness and respect. Art

Good point Art …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : September 4th, 2022-13:32
I will make my post a tribute to him and all the other RAF Crews.

Thank you …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : September 4th, 2022-13:30
I’m sorry to disappoint but I don’t have the jacket with me today as it’s 32o and no other photos with me. I will post a separate post with this jacket in a few days for you. Best regards Captain

Nice Pilot watch.

Interesting Omega

 By: Cookies : September 2nd, 2022-22:12
Curious to see that the Seamaster and Deville were in the same watch. Seldom seen vintage piece there. Is that a Laco pilot? It looks like a strap monster

You're pulling at my heart strings with omega

What's the brand of the pilot's watch?

A topic right 'up my alley'....

As Nico often says of rare watches. I went to read on Amvox LE’s and yours in a beautiful and very limited edition. Is it the Racing edition, as he wrote here: www.watchprozine.com

Sincerely....

 By: InHavenPro : September 3rd, 2022-03:13
appreciate your sentiments, yes, it is precisely one of the grand total of 224 'Racing' AMVOXlls - 100 black dial (mine), 100 black & white dial, and 24 for the Paris boutique (b&w dial but in a black PVD case, like the black dial that I have). Thanks for...

J'adore vraiment beaucoup ! Merci, Filip

Here are two I have out right now

 By: TeutonicCarFan : September 2nd, 2022-21:09
One I was wearing at work (rado), one for dinner (mb). They are also extremes in my collection for size and price - the rado at 37.3 mm/ steel, the mb at 43.5mm/WG. Rado is out of 150, the mb out of 58. ...

Wow that is a low production number

 By: Cookies : September 2nd, 2022-22:59
58 is almost unheard of these days. I always see LEs in the hundreds in the major manufacturers. That Rado CC is a stealthy limited edition.

Ouff that Montblanc!

Ooo the L&H Hektor

 By: Cookies : September 2nd, 2022-23:01
That is a very beautiful watch, front, back and sides are equally stunning. Love the Sinn MOP dial too. That is very tropical, like a holiday in Hawaii.

Thanks a lot Cookies for the compliments!

Orange hand which is so legible. I like the curved case too. Love the day date function on it too. I actually don’t mind the assymetry of dials, as the function is very useful. The colour really resembles sea grapes on a cloudy day’s dive.

The hand is actually yellow as is the bezel

 By: Brandon Skinner : September 3rd, 2022-01:15
Here is the watch next to my Habring² with orange hand for comparison ...

Haven’t seen that Habring before

 By: S F : September 2nd, 2022-23:55
Joining with a couple. The BP is an off catalog Wempe ed. The Hektor somehow is just a run of 99 which can well be a regular run sports model offering. ...

The Hektor shot is sublime

 By: Cookies : September 3rd, 2022-00:23
Dark, succulent and it highlights the motiff in the centre of the dial. That’s one rare BP too. I was too late to get a BP I always wanted. The aqualung big date. Prices are off the charts now for that piece.

Thks pal…on the Aqualung, cant explain whats driving the price movement.

THIS is patek. Love your curated collection of art and watchmaking. I think you should add a 3070J as perpetual chrono is my other thought when I think PP and you have class enough for yellow gold to look cool.

Thanks a lot --- Rare Handcrafts are indeed highly representative of Patek Philippe's identity (thanks to the current president and honorary president of the company), and I am honored to be able to enjoy and take care of some of these marvels! :-)

Super!

Well said about LEs being hard to add to collections when they are sold out. I really like the Louis Erard x Vianny Halter, and Panerai Paneristi Forever Edition, but missed the boat on it. Nice Grand Seiko there. It was quite hard to get this piece.

Strong entries

Yes, indeed we both - next to other watches- share the love to our DSAs ! Many kind regards and have a great Sunday !! Best, 🙂🙂

This week’s theme made me realize I’m not as much of a collector as I might have thought.

I have no limited editions of anything outside of watches - and even then only one LE watch. I’ve taken the liberty of expanding to “one offs” or limited production I’ve found along the way. Here’s a hand painted snuff bottle from Chonquing in China. I ca...

Nice bottle art which must have been painstaking to make. The triptych is very intricate too. And the showstopper is the Moser Tourbillon 1/20. The magnum opus!

Many thanks.

So many amazing LEs to admire this week - great choice of subject!

Many thanks hs.

The humble Oris Divers Sixty-Five, Topper Edition

 By: R. Goodfellow : September 3rd, 2022-20:04
One of 100 pieces made with a tweaks to the original Sixty-Five format--the most noticeable being the removal of the date. A watch with loads of faux-vintage charm and a pleasure to wear. ...

Keeping that lume charged while trying to get a good shot was a challenge. Weak lume is the only shortcoming of this piece.

No one will know….except the trained Eagle/Falcon or watch nerd. Ooo it is a simple Seiko diver. Oh yes I bought it from the local watch shop. Not (This is a Seiko which costs more than an Omega Aquaterra, but you’d never know…)

Haha too true…

 By: RabidManatee : September 4th, 2022-03:32
Even if the original issue price was half of what they’re going for now. I was lucky to get mine new from a Seiko boutique. BTW your collection is one I aspire to. Thank you!

I’m grateful buddy
