There are a few larger watches that I feel comfortable wearing . . .

. . . such as a 910 Flightmaster.
Even though it appears to be dominating in this photo, it doesn't come across as overpowering when I'm wearing it. Sloping sides, dial design and colors, and multiple crowns and pushers serve to minimize its presence.
In most cases (pun intended!), though, the larger a watch is, the less likely I am to be comfortable with it. Case (pun also intended!) in point: Omega's Marine II.
Tiny by today's standards, yet I'm completely at ease with it on my wrist.
My latest acquisition is nominally larger than usual compared to the rest of my collection . . .
[GS SBGH279 @ 40 mm left / Ω 2852 @ 35 mm right]
. . . but projects sympathetically due to its case and lug design. Dial color and texture assist, too.
I was pleasantly surprised by the way it blended with my wrist, so much so that it turned into an impulse buy. And I'm not usually the impulsive sort.
