Once upon a time…i had a panerai fiddy ref pam127. It’s one of the collectors panerai watches I would say.

Nov 21, 2021,06:10 AM

I sold it though as I got another similar panerai which I like more and I had to finance the buy of a Bronzo Pam382… so I let it go for good reason. I could sell it to another paneristi who was really happy to have it now in his collection smile.

The Wrist Scan for the 19th of November - 'Once upon a time' is live

 By: KMII : November 19th, 2021-10:30
Hello everyone, the theme for this week's WS will be 'Once upon a time'. The topic is open to interpretation, it could be a watch you bought a long time ago, or one that was in your watch drawer for a while and you rediscovered. It could also be shots fro...

Hello dear friend KM!! Nice to have you hosting this weekend and thank you for your effort of doing it while travelling. I wish you{ ll enjoy both things.

 By: Subexplorer : November 19th, 2021-13:15
What a wonderful picture of that abandoned Russian Ekranoplan!! It would be interesting to know the history behind this strange and unique design of a flying boat that actually doesn´t fly! Thank you for sharing. Interesting Theme you choose for this edit...

Thanks a lot Abel!

 By: KMII : November 19th, 2021-19:32
While the Ekranoplan looks fairly weathered from the outside it’s absolutely pristine inside, and complete down to bedsheets on the bunk beds for the crew. The last flight it made was in April 1993 and it’s been towed to this location many years later. It...

My pleasure! Fantastic!! Thank you so much for these comments dear KM! It must be a very impresive view to see it in person. Interesting to know about its state of conservation.

 By: Subexplorer : November 19th, 2021-21:10
It´s an unbelievable ship/plane cruising so fast and low over the sea. Thank you so much again for sharing! Cheers! Abel

There was a plan to build around 60 for search and rescue purposes…

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2021-06:11
It’s an excellent platform for that, reaching far places quickly due to the speed and having a payload capacity of 60 tons. And it can land on sea up to a wave height of 5 meters 👍🏻

An extraordinary and unique design indeed!

 By: Subexplorer : November 20th, 2021-15:39
Very interesting to know all this information you share dear KM. This plane/ship has some awesome capabilities and characteristics! Thank you for sharing here!! Abel

Hmmhh.. So let me see, how to play..

 By: hs111 : November 19th, 2021-13:20
I decided for 3 watches, all three Vintages, which are true keepers for me, since I was so happy to have found them, one together with a relaxed stroll through Paris.. They also somehow represent 3 lines of my collecting interest.. - Thus, without further...

What an epic trio, HS111!

 By: KMII : November 19th, 2021-19:34
From the 70s feel of the Memovox, including the galuchat strap to the two timeless classics following, a great selection indeed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

How to be bored of viewing these Masterpieces dear HS?

 By: Subexplorer : November 20th, 2021-15:36
Always a pleasure to view and admire them. I imagine the big enjoyment they bring you each time you strap them on your wrist!! Have a great weekend my dear HS!! Abel

Your trio is so wonderful!

 By: NT931 : November 19th, 2021-23:25
The watches themselves are fantastic, and the strap choices equally inspired. The burnt umber tones on the Rolex strap, the sand nato on the breguet… and my favourite… The stingray on the Memovox… which is brilliant!

Excellent choices hs …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : November 19th, 2021-14:11
The Ekranoplan looks incredible as does the excellent photo of your Zenith. Back later with my choices. Enjoy your flight KM !

Thanks a lot, Captain 🙏🏻

 By: KMII : November 19th, 2021-19:35
Landed safely in the meantime and am looking forward to a weekend spent with the family. That Ekranoplan is really something else 😁 Looking forward to seeing your selection 👍🏻🤞🏻

Thanks for the thought-provoking theme, KM! For me, it's watches I used to own Once Upon A Time

 By: NT931 : November 19th, 2021-15:30
These watches are now with new owners but I miss them now and then! A diverse group of brands and styles: some sporty, some dressy, some in WG, some in SS or Ti, some white, black or blue dials, some Swiss, 1 Japanese... you can get an idea of my horologi...

Fabulous selection, NT931!

 By: KMII : November 19th, 2021-19:37
That Malte has one of the sweetest VC dials IMHO 👏🏻👌🏻

Oh yes, the guilloche on the VC is amazing!

 By: NT931 : November 20th, 2021-11:42
I'm lucky it went to a good friend whose wife wears it, so I do have a chance to see it now and then.

Great selection NT931! Guess all of us can tell a story beginning "Once upon a time..." related with watches which reached our collections and are gone or remain as keepers.

 By: Subexplorer : November 19th, 2021-21:15
I can well understand you miss them sometimes. I know the feeling. Have a nice weekend my friend. Abel.

Superb selection and very nice pieces !.. No wonder you may miss them at times, but probably know, they are now in good homes !

 By: hs111 : November 20th, 2021-10:54
My personal fav of your line-up is the second shot, of this great VC; really love that dial structure !! Best, hs.

Thank you for sharing these awesome shots of your Explorer RabidManatee! This is the kind of places this famous model was made for .

 By: Subexplorer : November 21st, 2021-13:42
Classic and classy vintage Omega you show too. Keep enjoying them so much! Hagwe! Abel

My pleasure. The Omega belonged to my grandfather.

 By: RabidManatee : November 21st, 2021-22:25
But the Explorer is “mine”, if that makes any sense. Thank you for the kind words.

Yes. It’s easy to see how an Explorer, be it a humble “later” variant like mine or

My big pleasure to share this piece as an answer to your Theme. Best cordial regards Abel

Great selection, Abel from a superb watch !.. In fact it may not be the most popular piece from Rolex, but I find it really attractive !!

 By: hs111 : November 20th, 2021-11:04
And Yes, I can imagine that the WG bezel catches each ray of light.. I truly appreciate your recent arrival and am enjoying your picture line-up ! Well done, Bravo !! Cheers, hs.

Thank you so much for your kind comments dear HS!!

 By: Subexplorer : November 20th, 2021-15:33
Agree with you that this is not the most popular Rolex but I feel it deserves the attention of lovers of watches and complications. I really love it in spite of all the bling bling its bezel produces! Lol! Have a nice weekend my dear friend! Abel

Superb Sky-Dweller …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : November 21st, 2021-16:00
I applaud Rolex for creating something different and interesting, but instantly recognisable as a Rolex. Excellent photos to go with your watch. Enjoy it and celebrate 🥂 Best regards Captain

Thank you so much for your kind comments on my SkyD dear Captain!

I have no watch in a drawer. Watch box user. Which watch i forgotten? Which watch i lost! That’s better for me. I have good memories, but not my watches. I am very new to mechanical watches anyway, i care like a bodyguard, they are worth it. ...

Don’t worry about that…

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2021-06:23
The theme is pretty broad, so even a recent acquisition can participate 😊👏🏻

Ok, i am relieved

Once upon a time this watch was ...

My big pleasure my dear Count!! It’s a beautiful piece…
