The Forgotten wristscan for 9 - 11 October now open

Oct 09, 2020,05:07 AM

Hi All It's a pleasure to say this week's wristscan - The Forgotten - is now open ! So a few from me

My Omega Genève from 1966 - inherited from my great uncle. Doesn't get a lot of wrist time, but definitely a keeper. Was inspired by Art's post on the Omega forum. I've enjoyed wearing it again this week.

My Swatch Diaphane - got a number of years back to scratch an itch. Doesn't get worn very often at all, especially now I've disappeared down the alarm rabbit hole. So they're my Forgotten - looking forward to seeing what everyone else shares. Cheers & enjoy your weekends 🙂 JML

 By: chippyfly : October 9th, 2020-07:01
A slightly sad theme here really. My Seiko was a very accurate watch at that time. Now in the back of a drawer for many years. Box and papers in archive. Worth nothing now but takes up little space, so why throw away? Just part of my history. The Avia was...

It’s funny that JML has chosen “forgotten watches “ for this week’s theme as...

 By: kev09 : October 9th, 2020-07:45
...recently, whilst having a bit of a clear out, I unearthed a watch that I had completely forgotten about. I found it in an old jewellery box that had survived three house moves unopened. It is an English made Smith’s Imperial dating from the late 1950s ...

Wow - that almost counts as watch archeology!

 By: jml_watches : October 9th, 2020-09:01
Amazing that it survived so many house moves & is still working. Cheers JML

What a nice sensation it had been I’m sure, to discover this ...

 By: KMII : October 11th, 2020-07:20
And a story to match - I wonder what my final unpacking of all the boxes in storage through our moves will unveil 😁

My Tag Heuer 2000 bought in 1994. Had not seen it for more than 10 years, until a few weeks ago. My son's SKX009-J sort of gave up.

 By: Bobbe : October 9th, 2020-08:55
So I gave him my Tag Heuer. I changed the strap for the original bracelet, which was a little to big. I gave him the address of of a jeweler and told him, tell the owner I bought this watch from his father. The owner liked the story. ...

Great watch and story Bobbe!! It is wonderful...
