. . . than Eartha!
What an exquisite dial . . . to die for, really. It's easy to see how you would fall for its charms.
My first Omega was a gift from a friend.
I cut my vintage teeth with this one in '05. The restoration took five months, with a few pitfalls along the way. And it still wasn't entirely fixed 'til late '07 (the notorious 'hour creep' issue persisted until finally corrected by the watchmaker).
Not long after it was finally up and running properly, I learned my friend's life had ended under tragic circumstances. Memories induced me to part with the Mk II, so I let it go to another friend.
Years later, regrets set in. I asked my pal if he'd consider letting me buy it back. Unfortunately, it had become his favorite watch.
:-(
Several years went by. Three Decembers ago, I heard from our mutual friend.
"Hi, Nilo - what's happening?"
"A package is coming your way, Dr No. With my compliments."
A few days later, this arrived.
I must be the only guy ever who's owned two Mk II's, both received as gifts.
