I like many guitars for many reasons. The one pictured is an all mahogany 00 model Martin (sometimes called a 'Hog' because the top and sides and back are all maHOGany) and it is my wife's. I like a luthier named Dana Bourgeois who builds acoustic guitars in a little town called Lewiston, Maine. I own a couple of his guitars. He makes relatively few instruments per year and only employs a handful of luthiers in his workshop. A sentimental favorite is also Collings acoustic guitars. Bill Collings is a luthier in my native Texas. I own a couple of his mandolins. One his picture below.
