Thanks a lot my friend for your good wishes. Rains are badly needed here... And guess in other parts of the World too. I can well understan you are tired of Winter. But your Spring is very near now.

WristScan Live ! … Weekend Watches

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 3rd, 2023-14:24
Hello dear friends ! Our big community event is now live and our theme is all about our “weekend watches”. I’m sure most of us enjoy a change of watch and the pace of life at the weekend, free from the constraints of the week and our numerous commitments....

Starting the weekend…

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 3rd, 2023-14:42
Enjoying meeting friends for lunch with “The Hulk” ! ...

Thank you dear HS …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 5th, 2023-16:22
The dial is like a chameleon !

Hello dear Captain! Nice to view the watch you choose to start the event for this weekend.

 By: Subexplorer : March 3rd, 2023-15:21
The Hulk is a fantastic Submariner. A different character to the classic all black Submariner we are all fond of. I specially love its chamaleonic green dial, which changes from a brilliant emerald green to almost black depending the angle of incidence of...

Welcome dear friend …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 3rd, 2023-16:03
The Hulk definitely relies on lighting conditions to show its true potential. Part of the pleasure is watching it change in different environments. Best regards Captain

Yes! Of course! It’s a keeper!

 By: Subexplorer : March 5th, 2023-23:47
...

Good to hear…

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 6th, 2023-12:49
I was just checking 😉 Nice shots !

Hello dear Captain, here is my latest acquisition which I think makes for a perfect week-end watch!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 3rd, 2023-17:59
I have ordered a few more straps but already had a few that fits well! ...

Strap…tastic !

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 3rd, 2023-20:02
Hello my dear friend, Your Longines looks so good with so many of your straps. I would love to her tour thoughts on this watch.

Well I have been wearing it for the past 3 days now and I love it! I adore this dial, these hands…and after 3 days I must say the case is cool too!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 4th, 2023-00:07
After 3 days the rate is dead on! (No deviation when wearing and 1 sec at night…but since the second night I left it on a different position, it cancelled out!). Truly impressive. It truly wears like a small 43mm Panerai and i actually order several strap...

Thank you for sharing your experience with this Longines …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 5th, 2023-16:24
I really like the watch and must try one on my wrist.

My pleasure!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 5th, 2023-17:09

Sweeet! ;)

 By: InHavenPro : March 3rd, 2023-21:08

Definitely 👍

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 3rd, 2023-22:40

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 3rd, 2023-23:59

Wonderful catch dear friend Yacomino!!

 By: Subexplorer : March 4th, 2023-04:02
Just announced a few days ago and already on your wrist!! And with enough time to try it with some superb straps! Big congrats my friend. Lovely timepiece and a strap monster!! Enjoy it in the best of good health!! Hagwe Abel

Ahh, that´s great my friend. Yes, ordering direct acelerate things. And having a good friend strap maker is something marvelous!! Not easy to choose just one set of straps...

 By: Subexplorer : March 4th, 2023-13:44
... as this new Longines looks fantastic with them all. Enjoy it so much my dear friend. Hagwe, Abel

HAGWE as well Abel!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 4th, 2023-16:08

Can you imagine how many more would jump on the new Majtek . . .

 By: Dr No : March 4th, 2023-17:49
. . . it Longines had recreated the original . . . [Longines 15.94 photo credit: eBay] . . . movement? Updated to modern technical standards, but mimicking the original layout? Or even the pocket watch version as depicted above? ...

I real beauty indeed!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 4th, 2023-18:24

Interesting thoughts on this one Art ….

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 4th, 2023-20:42
I love the idea of a pocket watch movement and thats why I choose this one … ...

Longines produced a watch that fits the bill . . .

 By: Dr No : March 4th, 2023-20:55
. . . around thirty-five years ago. Large, but not quite as large as your Zenith powered by their incomparable 5011K movement. ...

Now thats a looker Art !

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 4th, 2023-21:02

A rare bird, possibly the most desirable watch . . .

 By: Dr No : March 4th, 2023-21:10
. . . from watchmaking's Dark Decade. I've never seen an Hour Angle in the metal; our first Omega Forum moderator Bill Sohne owned one in the past, if memory serves correct, and George Gently posted his on WPS . . . . . . a few years ago. ...

Another cool Longines!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 4th, 2023-21:19

Here you go Art

 By: Wachnut : March 5th, 2023-05:36
Though I have to say , I don’t think of it as a weekend watch but do love it on the wrist ( despite the size ) whenever I get the chance . Acquired around ‘09 but never tire of looking at it 🙂 ...

My pleasure Capn ! 🙂

 By: Wachnut : March 5th, 2023-16:01

Thanks 🙏

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 5th, 2023-18:10

A beauty!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 5th, 2023-12:27

Thanks !

 By: Wachnut : March 5th, 2023-16:01

Thanks for sharing your automatic version of the Hour Angle! . . .

 By: Dr No : March 5th, 2023-17:23
. . . exceedingly doubtful my wrist would accommodate a Lindbergh, much less a Type 20, but these leviathans are still personally fascinating on account of their historical legitimacy coupled with compelling pocket watch movements. Gratefully, Art

Not at all Art

 By: Wachnut : March 6th, 2023-12:26
I have a thin wrist too , but this watch’s form is so wonderful it manages to sit comfortably despite the size .

Hmmm . . . guess that means I'll have to try one on . . .

 By: Dr No : March 6th, 2023-17:04
. . . to make an informed judgement. Usually watches in that size range don't work aesthetically on my wrist, but there are exceptions, like Omega's Ultra Deep. Best, Art

Here's a fresh shot . . .

 By: Dr No : March 5th, 2023-17:16
. . . taken yesterday of Bill's. [watch and photo credit: Bill S, 03/04/23] I can't think of a better accompaniment to your Type 20 than this! (Other than Minerva's, of course.) ...

That was quick 👀

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 5th, 2023-18:08

It was a rather strange coincidence. I called Bill to ask about his Hour Angle . . .

 By: Dr No : March 5th, 2023-19:03
. . . and he was curious as to why because someone else had asked him recently as well! What were the odds? 🎲🎲

What are the chances of that 🤷🏼‍♂️…

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 5th, 2023-22:04
It’s a cool watch.

Mother of ……

 By: Weems@8 : March 5th, 2023-13:07
As this baby is earlier than Breitlings Navitimer. A Weems is after a Cartier Santos, but a Weems is maybe earlier with a complication for the pilot. I do not how it works to time with the inner dial.

Looks very cool 👌

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 5th, 2023-16:25

I wish they still did this!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : March 4th, 2023-21:18

The big Weems!

Zenith pilot

 By: Weems@8 : March 5th, 2023-13:03
Yes that are interesting wrist pocket watches. I remember the blueprint dial Zenith pilot. As i seen there is another forum member who show us his Zenith pilot.

Angular Momentum Polyphemos ...

Hi brauner …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 3rd, 2023-20:05
This is an incredible watch l, one that really gets me every time you share it with us. Superb !

Most times it is in the bankvault.

 By: brauner : March 5th, 2023-14:19
But it deserves fresh air

It certainly does…

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 6th, 2023-09:00
I just love the strength of the design.

Ahh dear Brauner!! Awesome watch…

 By: Subexplorer : March 4th, 2023-04:05
Love it!! Can’t avoid imagining this is the watch that Captain Nemo would choose to wear aboard his Nautilus. Fantastic timepiece!! Hagwe Abel

So so cool .

 By: Watchonthewrists : March 4th, 2023-07:43
Love it . True steampunk design

Just love this crazy watch!

 By: Brandon Skinner : March 6th, 2023-04:45
Just love this crazy watch. Every time you share I instantly take to Chrono24 and elsewhere to see what else Angular Momentum made and is on offer. Yours by far is the one if I were to ever do one. Thanks so much for sharing!👏

You're welcome.

 By: brauner : March 6th, 2023-15:07
If you look out for the Polyphemos you will see that there are slight differences not only in size (50 or 46 mm diameter), with rivets or without etc

Wow ! ….

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 3rd, 2023-20:08
That’s a superb GMT-Master catching the rays Bill.

There's a few dead bees in the backyard . . .

 By: Dr No : March 4th, 2023-22:19
. . . likely on account of all the rain and cold weather we've been experiencing in recent weeks. There was another on the ground just a few feet away. I left the bee in the photo because its colors matched the Omega's.

This Seamaster takes us back to another era …

Superb and varied selection…

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 4th, 2023-11:33
Good choices Abel and the variety is truly what our passion for collecting watches is all about. The Aquanaut really is one of the most versatile watches ever produced by Patek in my opinion and you choice of strap shows just how versatile it really is. I...

Thank you for your kind comments dear Captain. Agree with you that variety is what our passion for watches is all about. Also agree that the Aquanaut is a most versatile watch.

I´m specially fond of Seiko diving watches. And though I´m not fond of modern "intelligent" watches I must admit their capabilities are awesome and practical. Guess I should pay a little attention to this type. Enjoy your weekend! Abel

Thank you so much for your answer. I feel these are very interesting instruments with lots of useful "complications" to enjoy. Problem with me is that I´m an old school guy (and old man) ...

Great Grand Seiko …

Actually my most recent acquisition for about 6 months, but already has developed a "connection" with it😁, your Hulk looks sharp as always🍻🥃

Thank you …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 5th, 2023-16:10
The Hulk is an interesting Rolex for sure. I like your second shot with the two watches together.

Great citizen diver👍

Many thanks🍻

 By: saintseiyaikki : March 5th, 2023-11:20
Glad that you like it🤝

Hello saintseiyaikki. Welcome to our WS event. Glad to have your participation. Awesome shot with the twins Seiko divers. You really surprised me with this second shot.

 By: Subexplorer : March 5th, 2023-02:20
Not always we view same watch in two different wrists! I´m very fond of Seiko diving watches: tough and reliable and with a lot of character in their designs. Have a nice weekend! Abel

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, Abel🍻

 By: saintseiyaikki : March 5th, 2023-11:39
Also think that photo is fun too, its nice to have friends who share similar taste. Could not argue that Japanese always use their soul to create something, their 3 hand dress watches (GS) are also alluring 🌝

My pleasure saintseiyaikki! I hope you enjoyed so much participating and viewing/reading the entries of our friends here. And that it will inspire you to keep participating in future installments of our WS events.

 By: Subexplorer : March 6th, 2023-12:47
Agree with your comments: always nice to share our passion for watches with friends with similar taste for them. And also that Japanese and Seiko makes some very fine watches. Specially in their GS line which are among my favorite. Best cordial regards, A...

This Seiko is my favourite weekend watch. Very comfortable and reliable. I was early for the LE WPS H1, but this one has become lately my most frequently used watch. Power reserve is spartan, but I find it comfortable, elegant and understated. Enjoy the w...

Seiko certainly make excellent watches …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 4th, 2023-18:55
Hello J, I like the way that Seiko make good looking and easy to enjoy watches. As for your Hentschel, I like the shade of blue they used for this dial. Best regards Captain

Thank you for your comment, Captain

 By: Medem : March 5th, 2023-20:26
I agree the Hentschel’s dial has a nice slate / blueish tone to it, depending on the light. Have a good week

Yes, I agree…

 By: oyster case : March 4th, 2023-19:06
I love it! It’s got something special that sets it apart and yet has that Rolex familiarity. Just couldn’t be happier to get to own and wear it.

It’s certainly something different from Rolex …

 By: Wachnut : March 5th, 2023-06:18
Hello Capn , great theme this … weekend 🙂. For the weekend , usually mine are the more modest watches in my collection, either microbrands , or occasionally a tool like Sinn or a “ fun “ one like the Azimuth , or Visconti . And yes, plenty of Quartz too 😬...

Welcome Wachnut ! …
