The movement is an ETA 2894. Often disparaged as a mere modular movement, but actually possessing some very nice features, such as a vertical clutch and what must be described as simple column-wheel actuation. Yes, the pushers are notchy, but the seconds hand never jumps. And it has certainly been used in pricier watches than this one.
