Top Static shot selections and category winner.

First I'd like to appologize for my limited computer skills which forced me to take screen shot images as this meathod reduced quality and changed compositions. I looked at technical quality, composition and the degree

of tie in to a particular movie. As usual the choices aren't easy because there were many excellent images. I have three runner ups shown first (in order) then the winner.

runner up #3. Amanico’s Tudor BC. The latest in his series of mysteriously done precarious roof top wonders.

runner up #2. Subexplorer’s excellent image of a gorgeous vintage Submariner on driftwood. Love how the dial patina compliments the hue of the wood and how that wood ties into the Ursula Andress beach scene in Dr No.

Runner up #1 is also by Subexplorer. Another sweet vintage Submariner layed across an amazingly appropriate prop!

And the winner is Capt Scarlet’s wonderfully exposed and arranged B&W image of a Seiko Diver perched on what looks like a military issue boot with wonderful textures and detail! Love the composition too. Congratulations!

 By: Weems@8 : February 23rd, 2020-03:27
This week i look at all wat been posted, and have something to do with an eight. A static shot of a watch, for example a production error and in the space of the eight in the dial or at index 8........ I seen a great post, but the poster had not any reply...

Hard at work.

Tough competition when you see the great photos from Nicolas and Abel. For those interested, the shot of the Seiko “ Cpt Willard” was taken perched over a pair of genuine Airborne Jump Boots. Have a great week ahead friends.

You are welcome Captian!

What a superb prop choice (right up there with Abel's Walther PPK)! My lovely wife pointed out that those very well might be "the" boots! I might have to dig up my copy of Apocalipse Now for this evening. Tomorrow I'll be watching Dr No! Cheers!

One last thing...

. . . Abel for his tough-as-Steve 5512. Most here know I'm not exactly a Rolex guy, but let's face it, a weathered 5512 is damn near perfect. Runner-ups were Seeks with his new pride-and-joy . . . . . . and Watcholic_id with his thematically matched Zenit...

Felicidades, Amigo Abel! [nt]
