WristScan

Last in, rather fun story...

Whilst browsing a second hand/consignment furniture store with my wife many months ago, I thought I'd just cast an eye over the costume jewelry case. I spied several small ziplocked plastic bags with a couple of inexpensive looking watches inside, the bags were priced at $5 each. My curiosity got the better of me, so I asked to take a closer look.
Lo and behold inside one bag that I could not open, was this watch together with an old quartz TAG sports watch from the '90's that matched my brother's rather nasty watch.

I had to buy the nab for no other reason than to tease my brother with the matching watch to his. I could give it to him saying he now had two of the same watch to pass on down to his two sons!!!!

Once I had paid for the bag, I opened it to reveal this...I replaced the battery and went to work on the exterior with rubbing alcohol and a papertowel, 30+ years of grime had accumulated, so it took a while, but this is the result. Timekeeping is spot on, the movement was very clean, the gaskets intact and I have a fun "beater" watch.

HAGWE,
Cheers,
Tim
