Judging WotW was complicated on account of . . .
Sep 01, 2019,12:31 PM
. . . the unusual theme.
When judging Wrist Scan and Static, aesthetic considerations of the image should be weighted equally with content. In other words, a particularly striking or carefully composed photo of an ordinary watch can be judged tops.
When it comes to Watch of the Week, though, it's the watch that intrigues most that should get the call. A judge can take the gist of the theme into consideration, although that's not a requirement.
There were several that met with intense approval, starting with Abel's 2998 . . .
. . . and Tim's oh-so-Seventies UN . . .
. . . but it was JML's EmaS . . .
. . . that I found most intriguing within the context of this week's theme.
As far as I know, the transparent case and bracelet construction is unique. And strangely compelling, too.
Win to JML, place to Abel, show for Tim.
Happy Sunday, all. Off to my cue-maker's shop for a few tip burnishings, then shooting pool with my pals at the seaside dive bar early evening.
Cordially,
