I´m sure that all members of this Forum have more than one watch hunting story to tell us. I´m no exception and as a matter of fact I have several...

... stories to tell but wouldn´t like to bore my friends with all of them.
I will show three watches which are among my most beloved ones:
First my Panerai 587 Marina Militare a watch which was not very easy to find in 2014, the year it was unveiled. I was absolutely mad for getting mine.
I took advantage of a trip to Europe in November of that year to hunt it during two weeks in Paris, Milano and Venice with no luck. I finally catched mine in Paris just a few hours before my filght departure back to my Country!! (and yes, I almost missed the opportunity when my credit card was denied and I had no chance to talk with my bank due to a five hours time difference!) I really sweated with that hunt!
Second watch: Omega Moonshine. I had been in love with the original gold 145.022 of 1969 for a long time but never had the chance of hunting one and prices have reached a level well above my possibilities.
So when Omega announced the new Moonshine in February 2019 I went completely mad for it. I felt I would die if I couldn´t get one.
Living far from Europe and USA made not easy to ensure that my order would be accepted. It took several months of many phone calls and meetings till thanks to the kind help from the local Omega Boutique I was finally assigned a watch. I received it in my hands last September and I felt I had touched the sky! This has been one of the most exciting hunt and capture in my collector career. I deeply love this watch.
Third watch: My dear friend Art has recently told the complete story of this Flight Master. Art made it possible (devoting a lot of his time and efforts) to get this NOS 50 years old watch form a dealer in Germany to the USA and then to solve several cosmetic issues which included a demonstration of Art´s own skills with painting the black crown!
To have this watch in my collection has been only possible thanks to Art´s enthusiastic help and dedication and will remain in my collection as a keeper and as a symbol of friendship between two passionate collectors living very far but so close at same time. (Please note: Pictures here are not mine. They belong to the German Dealer)
Thank you for the patience in reading this long post!!
Have a nice week end my dear friend KM and all our nice friends here!
Abel.
