I’ll gladly share some additional information about that specific watch.

Evidently, this is a watch that by its specifications usually would NOT be posted at WPS – except in this special case, where the WristScan theme is “be different”. And different it is indeed, compared to our usual objects of desire.
Some technical characteristics: 100% plastic case & band, battery-powered integrated circuit technology, digital time display that after a tap shines through the plastic face (that is “painted” and therefore shows the correct time exactly twice a day 😊).
Although it misses typical haute horlogerie traits, I adore this watch and regard it as a “full member” of my modest collection/rotation. The reasons being:
- First, it tells a personal story. I bought this watch together with my wife for a whopping one Euro (sale price) in a shop in South-eastern Sicily, after having had some nice gelato on the steps of the main piazza. So, this watch reminds me of a nice day in my life. (Check.)
- Second, it is a creative work. The watch has for sure a unique design that – for me - is funny without being silly. Look for this level of creativity ans uniqueness in other watches, and frequently you will not find it. (Check.)
- Third, it is fun to wear, comfortable on the wrist, and makes other people smile. No danger to become a “safe queen”. (check.)
For this post, I just checked whether there is any brand marking or similar on the watch. Indeed there is (I never paid attention before). It has been produced for a Danish company called Zebra, so somehow this watch might be of Danish creative origin (so without knowing, I purchased a sample of the famous Danish Design
