Hmmhh, dear friend.. Let me see what to chip in to play.. ;))

Nov 21, 2020,05:08 AM

Well, one of several occasions for the „stealth like“, the „under the radar“;

a feature I like..

Low key, for the cognoscenti..

The MIH - something for the insiders, maybe

To me indeed pretty much stealth like..

Habring2‘s Erwin, a fine time-only piece

Plain, but balanced beauty - one of my favs

This independent Ochs & Junior - Something for the connoisseurs, I think

O & J, Time & Moon

from my wife‘s wrist & watch-box: JLC E159

Another cool Habring2, the „Doppel Felix“ Rattrapente Chronograph

A pretty much low key but well balanced split-second Chronographs

Hope you liked some a bit,
Best and HAGWE to all,
hs. smile smile

The WS for the 20th of November - ‘Incognito’ - is live

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-06:10
I do apologize for starting this one late but the day was super hectic. Irrespective, here it is. Any watch that flies below the radar, that you use when you do not want the watch to be recognized. EDIT - now I have a moment to add on the post 😊 So here’s...

Hello dear friend KM!! So nice to have you hosting this weekend!...

 By: Subexplorer : November 20th, 2020-06:28
Fantastic Theme you choose that I’m sure will bring lots of answers from our friends. I feel every one in our place own at least one “under the radar” timepiece to wear when required. Though being under the radar doesn’t mean that the watch is not interes...

Thanks a lot for the kind words, Abel!

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-07:12
Now I have actually had the time to finish the opening post with some more comments. Been a busy day 🤷🏻‍♂️

:)

 By: Subexplorer : November 21st, 2020-06:45

I'm sure it all depends on the radar...

 By: northerner : November 20th, 2020-06:39
...but most of them wouldn't detect the stealth pilot and the unmarked tank ...

anywhere

 By: psfparis : November 20th, 2020-06:50
" Ain't no mountain high Ain't no vally low Ain't no river wide enough, baby If you need me, call me No matter where you are No matter how far Just call out my name I'll be there in a hurry You don't have to worry " no better way to define this Seiko with...

What can I say...

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-07:15
The perfect choice 👌🏻 This is definitely among top of the list for vintage Seikos for me 😊

I love this one. A lot!

 By: amanico : November 20th, 2020-13:30

The poem well defines yhe spirit of this watch Psfparis!!...

 By: Subexplorer : November 21st, 2020-06:55
... I specially like a WT complication watch which I find they have a special Magic and invite to daydream with travels, far exotic places, and discovery. You show a beautiful specimen of the Seiko WT here. I own a different reference with a similar dial ...

Wow! Abel...

 By: Seeks : November 21st, 2020-09:22
a second Seiko World Time showed here! Well done landing this my friend. Stay safe.

That’s a very cool Seiko !

We don't see enough of that here.. Well done! Stay safe.

This is what one calls epic!

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-07:14
Both the watches are sublime and they are so apt for the theme 👌🏻 Although I have to say I would be hard pressed not to try and snatch that Tank 😂

So it does 👍🏻

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-20:55

2 superb specimens and shots!

 By: amanico : November 20th, 2020-13:30

Two beautiful stealthy watches you share here Northerner! I specially love the Cartier Tank a Guichet and you wear it with a beautiful set of straps which enhances its charm,

 By: Subexplorer : November 21st, 2020-06:48

 By: Cpt Scarlet : November 20th, 2020-07:03
Definitely one that would pass under the radar and the cuff !

Indeed 😊

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-07:16
Sorry for the late start and the abridged entry post - the former I cannot help with but I did at least manage to add some details in terms of the latter 😉

A simple GS.

 By: fernando : November 20th, 2020-07:26
...

Definitely incognito for most...

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-07:43
GS is generally a great choice in this respect. Fantastic shot Fernando!

Thank you!

Here are a few for me...

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : November 20th, 2020-10:55
Actually I would like to think that most of my watches can pass incognito as this is one of my main criteria for buying one I like having a watch where the specific brand wouldn’t be recognized unless from a purist! Well this is a subjective judgement so ...

GO and GS are generally great choices for that...

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-20:58
Especially if you live outside of Germany and Japan 👌🏻

Thx for your kind remarks, also !.. Best, :)

My pleasure dear Yacomino. I tend to feel like you as these colors usually are preferred in Spring or Summer brilliant days, but in any case I personally would enjoy ...

 By: Subexplorer : November 22nd, 2020-08:29
... that beautiful watch all year around. I wish you´ll enjoy your OP so much! Best, Abel

You shared with us many cool watches my friend!

 By: Seeks : November 21st, 2020-09:24
The last shot of your GS really stand out...the polishing is top ! Stay safe.

The most stealthy of them all!

 By: Spangles - Dr. Tabby : November 20th, 2020-11:05
...

Lol... I was pretty sure someone would post this model!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : November 20th, 2020-11:58
Nice. So stealth you don’t even see it

Is that the new ivory dial?😉

 By: Brandon Skinner : November 21st, 2020-16:33

If ghosts are invisible . . .

 By: Dr No : November 20th, 2020-12:11
. . . are ghost dials . . . . . . barely visible? 👻 PS - disagree about your foudroyante flying under the radar . . . its motion would make for an instant topic of conversation. ...

Excellent choice, my friend.

 By: amanico : November 20th, 2020-13:32

Depending on the crowd...

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-21:01
That conversation might go, ‘Your watch needs a new battery’ though, as the Habring2 one combines it with deadbeat seconds 😉 Wonderful ghost dials, Art 👌🏻

Great entry Art!

 By: aperna : November 21st, 2020-07:07

Hello dear Art! Your charming ghost dial Omega is a good example of under the radar watch. Specially with the light tan set of straps which matches the dial hues.

 By: Subexplorer : November 21st, 2020-07:11
It will catch the eyes of a connoisseur though. Beautiful watch. I wish you´ll have a nice and pacefull weekend my dear friend. A big Hug! Abel

Great choice dear Art!

 By: Seeks : November 21st, 2020-09:25
Be well and stay safe.

Excellent choice Art ...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : November 22nd, 2020-01:36
Vintage Omega, only for those in the know 👍

Likely first owned by a British serviceman . . .

 By: Dr No : November 22nd, 2020-16:06
. . . for whom the date 'June 6th 1940' held special significance. His name and that date are engraved on the back. Dunkirk, possibly? According to online sources, the evacuation ended June 4th.

Its harder then I thought to find a few under the radar watches

 By: Watchonthewrists : November 20th, 2020-12:56
I do like indies and odd watches and they are most of the time conversation starters . Think these will qualify HAGWE. ...

Well I think your last two are real good candidate!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : November 20th, 2020-13:24

I don’t think so...

 By: KMII : November 21st, 2020-04:29
They are definitely sufficiently masked IMHO 👍🏻

These qualify for sure...

 By: KMII : November 20th, 2020-21:03
Didn’t know you had the first one with a black dial, too 👍🏻 Four definite winners there, Watchonthewrist 👌🏻

I didn’t know also till two weeks ago 😆

 By: Watchonthewrists : November 21st, 2020-01:27
Its a nwa 😉. Purchased two new NHC , one for me and one for my Boss

Hello Watchonthewrist! A great selection you share here. I´m not very sure about the NHC watches passing under the radar but no one will discuss they are beautiful and charming...

 By: Subexplorer : November 21st, 2020-07:16
... watches. May be I would opt for any of the other two watches for a more stealthy presence on the wrist. What I´m sure is that any of the pieces in your selection would make me a very happy man! Hagwe! Abel

One NHC would be a great addition to a collection!

 By: Seeks : November 21st, 2020-09:27
And you have two! Sweet! Best regards and stay safe.

Thanks my friend .

 By: Watchonthewrists : November 21st, 2020-10:16

I especially like the Habring Erwin Scientific. I sold mine earlier to a fellow collector in my country, and he later told me there were only 10 made. Now I know that one of the remaining 9 is owned by a gentleman with discerning tastes

Oh wow! many many cool and stealth like watches!

The Flieger helps by being unmarked and the Seamaster is not one of the instantly recognizable models 👍🏻

Love the IWC for the theme here! Works perfectly!

Hello KM! Fantastic theme you have chosen for us!

 By: Seeks : November 21st, 2020-09:06
Let me see.. A couple of watches come to mind. A Richard Lange in platinum and a Girard Perregaux 1966 small second with its quiet enamel dial.. pretty incognito unless we are in a GTG 😅 Best regards and stay safe 🙏 ...

Great choices seeks! These are hard to beat!

Hi My Lanco Fon, doesn't even look like an alarm watch. Just need to remember not to set it or it's cover is blown! Cheers JML ...

Lovely, my friend.

 By: amanico : November 21st, 2020-09:20

A proper spy type watch 😊

 By: KMII : November 21st, 2020-14:25
Great indeed and very stealthy for an alarm 👍🏻

ah, the charm and stealth of your vintage Lanco Fon!

 By: Seeks : November 22nd, 2020-00:29
Happy to see that it got some good wrist time too. Warmest regards

Thanks 😊

 By: jml_watches : November 22nd, 2020-12:25
The only caveat with them is that they appear not to be the most robust watches. It's also a struggle if you need to fix them. Great watches & have always liked their under the radar nature Cheers JML

It is true what you tell JML but they are really wonderful...

 By: Subexplorer : November 22nd, 2020-13:15
... under the radar watches which you love and that’s what it counts!! Keep enjoying and loving them!! Cheers! Abel

Will do 👍 thanks 😊

Great theme, King!

 By: Brandon Skinner : November 21st, 2020-12:46
My Habring2 COS is a stealth Chrono in the absence of pushers, but not quite as stealth as their COS ZM. Still a very fun watch and ingenious way to activate, stop and reset a chronograph. Next is a borrowed watch from fellow Purist Tim Jackson. If only I...

Both the Habring2 and the MIH are fantastic choices for the theme!

 By: KMII : November 21st, 2020-14:26
And I am personally highly partial to both. Great shots, too 👌🏻

indeed!

 By: Seeks : November 22nd, 2020-00:29

Both stunning
