Hello friends! Here is my veredict for Best Static shot Category...
Jun 28, 2020,10:14 AM
As it happened in our previous WS session this week end we received a big array of high quality static shots which made very difficult to choose just one winner.
Beginning with the awesome shots by our Host Captain Scarlet which remind us of attractive book covers like this one for example:
I wish to thank you our Captain for a great hosting job and a chalenging and interesting Theme.
Now I awarded Silver Special Mentions to the following participants:
Brandon Skinner showed some wonderful shots of his lovely family and told us how a classic book read in High School inspired him to name his cute boy Holden as this was the name of the main character of that book. Books leave on us readers deep impressions and thoughts for life. I was very moved with Brandon´s post.
S F shared his wonderful early GMT (cornino, minutes track) on a background of reading material of study of his watch. A great static shot and superb vintage watch,
Watch on the wrist answered to the call of our Host with a stack of books and an array of superb watches from his collection. Well played
I loved to view the impressive book case of Dkleal embellished with some beautiful watches he had previously shown in close shots...
Our dear Art shared a fantastic shot: His wonderful double signed (Tiffany´s) Omega Chronometre ref 2364 in the metal proudly resting in this Omega Bible where same watch is displayed!! That´s a collector´s dream come true!
I could turn Tony/Aperna´s shot with my new found method of fixing this problem many of us are facing lately- Loved the watches and loved the arrangement of them on the book-
Finally I awarded the following shot the Winning place this week end as the Best Static shot:
Watcholic and his strapless Zenith tribute to A386 38mm resting on the pages of a book. I loved the mood of this shot which invited me to wonder about the reader, the book and the watch.
Big Congrats to Watcholic and all Silver Special Mentions and to all our enthusiastic community participating in our weekly Wrist Scan feature.
Thanks a lot for the honor of letting me Judge and please receive my best cordial regards and wishes of good health my friends! Abel
