... you know the tradition of asado is for Sundays here but he can manage to make a good asado for today Saturday and tomorrow Sunday if he has enough "fuel" at hand. You know.
I promised to tell about the word "chimichurri" to name our popular meat souce. There are several versions around the name, but the one I take as more probable tells that there was an Irish guy here (probably during the XIX Century) who was very fond of meat but was desperately missing the Worcestershire sauce which was impossible to find here in the Pampas. This guy´s name was James Mc Curry and was called "Jimmy" by his friend. Jimmy decided to make his own sauce and developed his own recipe which he found could replace the original Worcestershire. Let me say that it was not easy for gauchos to reproduce the English language phonetics so the "J" and "C" they pronounced as "ch" so when referring or calling him, they pronounced something like "Mr. Chimi Churri" and when talking about his sauce "la salca de Chimi Churri" . I don´t know if this is true or just a legend but it is funny indeed.
Well, here are my shots to play this week end around barbeques and asados!! A very enjoyable Theme my dear friend!
Have a nice and safe week week end Captain and all our dear friends here!!
