. . . it's helpful to have a known baseline to gauge the future by. Of all the vintage watches that have come into my collection, only one was in such good condition that my watchmaker refused to service it. Should it start running erratically, we'll at least know the problem occurred after acquisition.

Believe it or not but underneath lays a perfect early 5512 dial....
with no imperfections. Obviously I am choosing a photo that expresses it in a bad light but the dirt is real. Bill
