. . . backed up with a wide-ratio A833 four-speed into a 8.75" rear end was '74, and believe (although not sure) that only Dodge offered that combination. First gear was 3.09 with a rear axle ratio of 2.94, so it actually took off fairly well (given the context of the times) yet still had relaxed highway manners.
Which makes it the perfect candidate for a sleeper resto-mod . . .
