This weekend over at WristScan we are celebrating World Cocktail Day and in preparation, I thought that you might enjoy this recipe for a classic “French Garden” cocktail.

St Germain liqueur is based on elderflower and absolutely delicious in this cocktail.
WristScan starts tomorrow, Friday at around 13:00 GMT.
Enjoy !

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz  St Germain liqueur
  • 1 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 oz champagne

Directions

  1. Add ice, gin, elderflower liqueur and lemon juice to mixing glass and shake until combined and chilled.
  2. Strain mix into base of champagne flute or martini glass and top with champagne.
  3. Garnish with a lemon twist.

. . . a cocktail? Freshly squeezed yellow grapefruit and tequila (or mezcal) makes . . . . . . a chihuahua . Why chihuahua, you may ask? Well, if grapefruit and vodka makes a greyhound, then . . . 🙄 ...

That’s quite a combo …
