"Where were you . . .

. . . in '72?"
Dr No was a sophomore in high school. Playing pool, hangin' out with friends at the beach, and going to the drive-in on Warner.
So if I could go back in time to the year when I could start driving, maybe this . . .
. . . is what Dad would've bought me.
Yeah, a Dodge Dart Sport Rallye. We had a '65 Dart GT with a 273 four barrel and Torqueflite auto trans; convincing Dad to pop for a '74 318 Dart with four-on-the-floor would've been a tough sell, but hey, I can dream, right?
My first date at the drive-in? Has to be . . .
[American Graffiti, '72]
. . . Candy Clark.
Double-billing on the outdoors screen: High School Confidential, 1958 . . .
. . . and Jack Nicholson's first flick, Cry Baby Killer . . .
. . . also from 1958.
And the watch on my wrist? Gotta hail from '58, right?
Well, I was outdoors last night in So Cal, but at the Dodgers game in LA, not the long-gone drive-in in Huntington Beach. Ah, memories ;-) . . .
