No shortage of fascinating watches this week! . . .

. . . most, but probably not all, of you know that Watch of the Week is assessed not on the technical quality or composition of the image, but as a result of how intriguing the watch is to a judge. In other words, an ordinary photo is just as liable to come out on top . . . it's content, and not appearance, that matters.
Let's start with honorable mentions. There were Omega favorites aplenty, starting with Abel's Moonshine . . .
. . . and GMT, plus . . .
. . . R G's titanium Ploprof, a personal favorite.
jml also shared a watch that resonates with yours truly. His NOMOS is as high a value in modern watchmaking as there can possibly be.
K shared not one but three intriguing watches . . .
. . . particularly his Laine, a rare indie that I'm finding increasing favor with.
What more can be said about Cap's green machine?
Or R G's JLC?
Or Filip's, for that matter?
Now, this . . .
. . . was highly intriguing. Never seen before by these eyes, and quite arresting. Pleasantly surprised it was offered by Cap . . . had to rub my eyes twice to confirm it was his!
Jerome as well as Abel shared the Blancpain enhanced by a unique indicator. What most of you don't know is that I have an affinity for vintage Fifty Fathoms . . .
. . . even though I rarely comment about them.
How could a Freak make an appearance on Wrist Scan . . .
. . . and not be a contender for WotW? Nicely done, SF.
Cookies might've assumed I'd missed his tantalum Seamaster. Not so; it was his PSM that tickled my interest.
There's nothing more alluring than a pink gold dress watch, and VC has this field well covered. Another score for Jerome.
I'm at a loss for words about Timeout's Kari. 'Exquisite' isn't evocative enough.
Same goes for Tim's Hentschel. I've had the privilege of seeing his (and Bill's) in the metal. What can I say other than, "Damn! Should've bought AAPL twenty years ago! Then I wouldn't have to struggle making choices."
Oh, Ruffian.
🥰
And there the tale might end. Not so. Wachnut's Longines Hour Angle . . .
. . . represents the best of both worlds, modern and vintage, in a historically relevant homage. Well done, sir, and congrats on top honors for WotW. And please don't wait fourteen years to visit again.
Hope to see you all this coming Friday for the next session of Wrist Scan!
