Vintage diver here today
Apr 30, 2010,06:35 AM
I finished servicing this watch last week, and I have been wearing it almost every day since. Still want to swap the crystal and restore the painting on the rotating bezel, but I have paying work to complete ahead of my own watches. So far I'm very pleased with the watch..
Here it was a little before the wrist shot:
And a movement shot before I took it all apart:
Cheers, Al

Travel Time for a Friday
By: Gary G : April 29th, 2010-19:37
Can it be that I'm starting off this week's festivities? I am coming by it honestly, as it's around 1130 Friday here in Seoul (even though back at home where I will be finishing Friday after flying back, it's only 1930 on Thursday). Enough about time zone...
Thanks for kicking off, Gary . . .

. . . and nice wrist shot, too! You've definitely got the right watch for the occasion . . . cordially, Art
Thanks, Art

After that, may God saves those Judges' bones Mind you it is a lose lose situation, Deepsea is still in shock... LOL Thanks for making this a fun and fruitful Friday contest.

Ying and Yang, Black and White, Dress and Sport. It's fun to wear two watches occasionally, but I don't do it often. It's a little embarrassing trying to explain why to the 99.9999% of the world that don't 'get it'. However, in the absence of a GMT or Wor...

Stowa Flieger Date
By: anaesdoc : April 30th, 2010-07:45
This Monday I finally recieved this Stowa Flieger watch, now also available with a date window. Some puristic purists believe this to be an illegitimate change of style as the original Flieger watches did not have this. I agree with them and yet I am very...
Very nice
By: Ginger : April 30th, 2010-08:00
I have been thinking of a similar model myself - I don't usually wear 40+mm in watches without recessed or highly curved lugs, so it still may be too big for my wrist. Glad to hear that the finish is acceptable. Enjoy. Ginger
Thanks, ginger!
By: anaesdoc : April 30th, 2010-10:49
The finish is actually very acceptable. I´m not that familiar with the connatations of "acceptable", but if you would say "akzeptabel" in German, this would mean as much as "just/quite right", "mostly satisfying", "moderately well done" or "nothing s...
