A beautiful old Explorer my friend in a couple of superb shots! A watch you don´t show very often but I had the pleasure of viewing in person some time ago.

The black bezel was the last option offered in the 1675 and at a later date than this watch which most probably had a red and blue bezel when it left Rolex in around 1970. [nt]

The dial is matte so I feel inscriptions should be white but have taken a brownish patina. In any case the overall effect is very striking indeed Hagwe! Abel
