May 09, 2021,21:35 PM
It was a tough pick this week with so much history and stories behind everyones watches. Without further delay, here are our winners for the week !!
3rd place-
Nicolas- With his Rolex GMT 6542. Having first seen the 1675 on Magnum PI as a kid, he knew he would have one someday. Many years later he is border line obsessed with this watch I would say! Just kidding, great collection amanico !=)
2nd place-
Abel- I am sure if we collect long enough, we will all have a story like his. You finally make the decision for a grail piece, only to have it slip through your grasps at the last moment... Most of the time the story ends there, but if you're lucky, very lucky, that watch will come back to find you. Abels very own Patek 5110g in black & white.
1st place-
Art- Congratulations to Dr. No, our 1st place winner with his Dornbluth 99.1M !! Having been eyeing Dornbluth for 20 years or so and loving the design and company but not quite the size for his wrist, it was a picture from a fellow purist member and friend that led him to pull the trigger on this beautiful, and right sized watch. Congrats on the watch and great pic !!
Sometimes I forget in this crazy hobby and passion of ours, that the hunt is all part of the journey and in the end, those extra special pieces are extra special because of what it takes to acquire them. Being relatively young, I need to remind myself of this more. One thing is for sure, it doesn't help to have a good friend in the know who shares our passion and sometimes, its just the right time and place.
3rd place
2nd place
1st place !!
Honorable mention KMII Minerva -
