Hello Friends! Here my veredicts for Best Static Shot for "The watch that comes from your heart and stays there"...
Jul 05, 2020,12:21 PM
... a bit late I know and I appologize for that.
Dear Moritz came with a wonderful Theme and a big challenge this week end. Thank you so much my dear Count for your hosting and theme! Great job!
It is always hard to choose a winner of a category and it is specially hard in this edition. It is my feeling that it is not easy to judge a picture separating its photographic values from the story or thoughts which accompany each of them. It was specially true in the answers to this particular Theme.
So I awarded three Very Special Silver Mentions to the following shots:
Nicolas: he showed his magnificent early 6542 GMT in a superb shot which shows the connection of its birth as a pilotΒ΄s watch and the legendary airline which asked Rolex to design such a timepiece. Most important detail is Nicolas revealed us that his beloved watch will go to his adorable daughter some day. I wish Nicolas that he will keep enjoying this watch he loves so much in the best of good health .
Another Very Special Silver Mention goes to:
Captain Scarlet and his shot of his classy square Patek against the picture of an elegant and cool David Bowie owner of a similar timepiece. His words invited us to some deep thoughts about the future of our collections and about the joy of gifting and the reward we receive just watching the pleasure it provokes in the person we love and receives our present.
Another Very Special Silver Mention is for Boris:
He shared a story of love among brothers, a beautiful gift and a love for a watch brand as well. He also shared his latest catch, that superb VC Cornes de Vache shot against a picture of his Best Day of his Life showing him in a lovely scene with his Mom and Bride two years ago.
Now the winner this week end is:
Brauner and his superb shot of his classy square GP, his first "serious" watch he says. A watch which was gifted and returned some time later as he explains in his lovely story he shared with us.
I liked so much how this watch was photographed against a colorful background of ties or scarves. Great shot!
Big Congrats to all winners and thank you to all participants for making another enjoyable edition of our WS weekly contest!
Have a nice and very safe week ahead my dear friends!
Cheers! Abel
