You see the statue of Laurens Janszoon Coster (born in Haarlem c. 1370) the allegedly inventor of the printing press (or was it Gutenberg) and the 15th century St. Bavo Church in the background.

Many belief Gutenberg invented it but it was Coster. Nice to see a picture from “home” Gelukkig Nieuwjaar

I finally visited Haarlem on a whim a few years ago. Was such a nice December day to step away from (yet be so close to) the bustle of Amsterdam. Would love to eventually return when travel restrictions ease...
