Please don't do it!

I hate scratches too but I draw the line at covering perfectly good finished steel with plastic. That said, suppressing my rage for the whole thing, some pros and cons:

Pros:
- properly applied the stickers are hard to see from arms length
- they are just plastic stickers so the stickers can scratch as well but most will "self heal"

Cons:
- even if hardly visible dirt and grunge will build up around the edges of the stickers partly cause there's an added edge and partly cause it will be sticky from the adhesive.
- plastic will never shine as bright or have as good a finish as the bare metal. Think orange peel on car paint. On polished sections you are adding distortion to the reflectivity, on brushed sections you are adding a gloss layer over a textured base. Nothing is going to reflect like the bare and this is before we take into account aging, clouding, etc. Ever see an old plastic convertible rear window?
- plastic being softer and "stickier" than metal will actually attract dirt and dust more than bare stel and be harder to clean.

Imho, enjoy the scratches or buy a ceramic watch.

I am getting 2 new watches and wonder if anyone has tried films like Invisishield labs or RX8 to protect case and bracelet from scratches. Application looks tedious but I hat scratches to band or buckle for my upcoming DD 40 and GMT. My jubilee don't show...
